Does it disturb you that they sell products with a map of “Palestine” that goes from Jordan to Mediterranean with the Palestinian flag on the entire land? If not, explain how you see it, please. (I am not being hostile–I honestly want to understand your point of view on this.)

Et Gershon Baskin lui répond:

Judy, just as I could easily post the same map and call it “Eretz Yisrael” and believe that every inch of it is mine and we have every right to it, so can the Palestinians and call it “Palestine” . Neither of us can have it all but for the time being we don’t have a border between us and them. In negotiations they Palestinians have presented the green-line as the basis for the negotiations, we have rejected that. Everyday in our weather maps on TV on Israel channels or in the Israeli papers, there is no border and we see a map of the whole Land of Israel. When we begin presenting maps that show Palestine and we mean a Palestinian state, then we can make our case when they present maps without Israel. I would be very happy if they did that on their own, but we are both still in a struggle without an end in sight.
